Grizzly Airport, a bad rainy day review
Most of the time I can think of something good to say about something. there’s only one good thing I can say about this place at all. If you ever get stuck here and bumped from your flight, do ask for a voucher for your ticket, and to be comped a room. if you only get the voucher, or if you get nothing like I did, write a complaint to customer service. I got bumped, they did not have enough blankets, they did not want me in their regular line because my flight had been booked by another 2nd party. When I tried to call the other 2nd party, the line was dead. I completely lost it after that due to lack of service. I did not get comped a room, no voucher, nothing. No blanket till two am. The only good thing was a kind nice floor sweeper was coming by, and noticed that I didn’t have a blanket, and proceeded to get me one. Someone had tried to get me on a flight to LA, as well so I could be closer to home, but that didn’t work whatsoever. I was stuck overnight. Everything closed by 10:00pm, and I was stuck wandering the whole closed down terminal all night long. (It all shuts down, no night life like in the city.) They woke us all up at 6:00am amd made us give up our blankets. You would think they didn’t care about people the way this flight went. The voucher I got later on by filing a complaint, only covered for food spent. I decided if I am ever stuck there again, I am fighting with them for either a fully comped ticket or a room because I know what a bad place this is. By the way, I do want to state that this was an almost all flights cancelled situation. They could have handled it better, and I hope it’s a lesson learned for them.

After reading this,I'm ensuring my thick leather coat doesn't leave me(or my toothbrush+paste!). This kind of experience can spoil one's vacation/trip. Check this out We were recently in transit in Bahrain for 0115 flight which was cancelled till 0800hrs. So After 1/2 hr drive at 0330hr we were taken to a very posh 4star hotel; only to be woken at 0500hr for breakfast + return journey to the airport.Unlike some of the others I did manage to sleep solid for 1 hr. with full winter gears on in the MiddleEast. Aircon felt colder as I was tired+hungry. I couldn't be bothered to work out where control system was at that hour of the morning. Also thought I may get hot, which means I'll have to hop out of bed to reswitch). Felt fully refreshed and enjoyed the little bit of Bahrain I passed. To the few moaners, I said to think of it as an Extension to their holiday!!So beware of Bahrain transits, we were already warned early in our travels regarding its common occurrence. I must say the hotel did allow us one free phonecall (but the manager kindly allowed me to get away with 2 short prompt ones..to cancel my airport taxi+contact home)

After getting validation from you and a lot of others, I did manage to find an airline that has never let me down flight wise. it is SouthWest. They are one of the top four for flights being on time, and very few delays. i think they scored an 87%, which is pretty good compared to what I have seen, and the y personally get a 10 with me for on time for my mid day flights. I ahve flown 3 times with them. What I am also getting out of what you are saying here, that I could have had a comped room, and only have slept an hour? Lol. thanks, I feel better now. I just stayed in a five star hotel not too long ago and missed my free continental breakfast. They messed up on one of my tours, but I got a discount on lunch, so that made up for it, and i did like that hotel. It was the Teneya Lodge in Yosemite. They are greast with customer service. I have a new complaint, but it's about a hostile hostel, lol. I stayed at one good one, one bad one. I'll talk to you later.. :-)
