Bio

My headline
The World Is Yours!
Me in a nutshell

My reason for Gusto: I hope to make a lot of friends shere. My quote that I live by: Live your life to the fullest, and don’t let anyone ever tell you something can’t be done. If you believe in it enough, time will give you your reason to be…

Things I like

I like cooking, and eating the food I cooked. Some foods I find delicious: Pomegranites, corn on the cob, pesto, flavored spices, gingerbread, homemade blueberry and candied yam pies that I make myself, semi sweet chocolate, and cinnamon bears. I like maps that help me find places, Crossword puzzles, the new type of Sudoku puzzles, and I dig making friends from all over.. Some other things I like that you didn’t know about me: I love the sand, the patter of rain, the tears of when someone sees their firstborn for the first time, the renewal of the spring, the wonder of newfound love, the sunsets and sun rises, always. For the places that I have yet to travel, and have catorized down as going to: These are places other people have actually been to and they said they were really good. I found hotels to be the easiest to get information about. Everyone has an opinion: Everyone will tell you straight out if they liked a hotel or restuarant, or not.

Revealing Tidbits

You're stuck in the middle seat on a plane between two celebrities. Who are they?
Demi Moore and Tom Cruise, because they have led exciting film careers, and I am sure they have traveled far.
Your cruise ship sank and you're stranded on a deserted island. What three things do you need?
GPS, Supplies to build shelter, someone that means the world to me.
Which National Lampoon's Vacation character are you most like? Clark, Ellen, Rusty, Audrey, Aunt Edna, Cousin Eddie, Hot Girl in Ferrari or The Guard at Wally World.
Don't really know who these people are, but I would be a classy world traveler if I had to be an alter ego! :-)
Gusto is picking you up in a private jet. Where are you going?
I am going to Paris, Italy, Rome, New Zealand, and Hawaai on Gusto, hehehe.

Thanks for your email and for making me your friend.  I hope that you will visit Paris and Italy soon, as there is so much to see and do.

Hey, I love the first line of your "likes": I like cooking, and eating the food I cooked.  That's awesome- my boyfriend and I pride ourselves on working on recipes from other places- we've gotten really good at a select number of Indian recipes (Pindi Chana and Dal Makhani) and we make kick ass enchiladas.  Enjoy your weekend!

Great profile, Sassylaurie! I'll be sending you a Gusto T-shirt, it might not make it in time for your upcoming trip, but I'm sure it will make many more voyages with you.

Hey there, I am new to gusto but enjoyed reading your bio.  We have a lot of common likes.  Have you tried Sudoku puzzles?  Those are my new addiction.  Hope to chat with you sometime.  I am still working on my site. – Monica

Laurie, You wouldn't be disappointed in Ireland.  It truly is 40 shades of green and more!  The cities are more small town than big city, though Dublin is becoming an international center. People are friendly-it's an easy trip if you've never been out of the country.  I have lots of favorites though-Scotland, England, Germany, Switzerland, Greece, Australia and New Zealand.  You can have a new car or a trip with memories for a lifetime-get going!!!

Hey Lauren! Thanks for the message.  enjoy your travels.  Let me know if you ever need any info on the greater NYC area…or oddly enough anywhere in WI since that's where I hail from originally.  Happy holidays!

Yes I do need more info on the greater NYC area. You see my sister is there, and I have yet to visit her. I have never stepped foot in NYC, so please send me what you can, when you can. I am like a sponge.

I love your "likes!"  I also like your quotes to live by.  That's how I try to live my life too.  I decided to make a list of things to do/places to go before I die and my newest one is to go see the Northern Lights.  I find them fascinating and beautiful and would love to see them in real life.  Isn't it amazing how much there is to do and see in this world?!  I can only hope to experience as much as I possibly can!  Enjoy your travels!
