Armadillo Restaurant

shocking!!!!

what a shocking experience!!!
after ordering, and waiting 15 minutes we were told they do not have our order in stock...we reordered and waited another 15 minutes to once again be told they do not have our order in stock! they also forgot about the meal i had ordered for my 3 year old....after a while our main course arrived and oh my gosh...what can i say...we would have been better off buying a microwave meal accross the road at safeway!!! the chicken was burnt and tough, the rest of the meal clearly canned food and my child's meal had still not arrived!!
what an awfull excuse was given...the roads were bad and their suppliers couldnt get to them...SURE!!! we could get to them and i live in broomfield!! the roads were FINE!! needless to say we didnt finish our meals and went to McDonalds - at least you know what your getting and you know they have it!!!!
i will never ever eat there again and will never suggest it to anybody i know....
rather go to the mexican place down the road....

Shix's review is just plain crazy!!!  According to Shix, he lives in Broomfield and has only been to the Armadillo ONCE!  I grew up in Broomfield and Westminster and lived in that area of Colorado for 18 years.  I have been to the Armadillo Restaurant (yes... even the one in Broomfield) hundreds of times (literally!).  Our family would go there frequently throughout the year.  The food is absolutely delicious and reasonably priced.  I have always found the service to be exemplary.  And I have always enjoyed myself in its atmosphere.  Sure, there have been a couple of times where the wait was long and/or our meals didn't come out in a timely fashion.  But these RARE instances are easily overshadowed my the hundreds of other times this wasn't the case.  If you like Mexican food, if you love great tasting salsa and green chile, then the Armadillo is the place.  There's a reason it's been in business for over 40 years!

FYI - I currently live in another state other than CO and I make it a priority to visit the Armadillo at least once (often times, twice!) when I visit CO.
