South America Travel Guide

South America offers a variety of treasures to its visitors. High in the Andes in Peru you’ll find Machu Picchu, a magnificent pre-Columbian site that served as a fortress city for the Incas. Brazil boasts some 5,000 miles of coastline, along with rainforests and wetlands, and the enormous city of Rio de Janeiro, where each year Carnaval is the biggest party in the world. You can learn to tango in Buenos Aires, Argentina’s capital, and visit some adorable penguins in Patagonia, which comprises the southernmost reaches of Argentina and Chile.
