Opened in 2005, the Riu Puerto Marina Benalmadena is housed in a modern, whitewashed property with traditional Spanish styling, and is located by the marina in Benalmadena, 11 kilometres from Malaga. The Centro Commercial shopping centre is 200 metres from the hotel and Sohail Castle is ten kilometres away. Expert Tip. Those venturing further than Benalmadena’s sandy beaches will find Sohail Castle worth a visit. The castle is located on a hill overlooking the River Fuengirola as it enters the Mediterranean, and retains its original high walls and crenellated towers.
