The Riverdale Garden
Incredible food, atmosphere okay
This little unassuming cafe in Riverdale has haute cuisine at really reasonable prices. My husband and I are foodies and really enjoy the likes of Bouley, Danube, Aureole, Chanterelle, Union Square Cafe etc... The quality here is right up there, except the prices are NOT. We live on the Upper West Side of Manhattan and did a day trip whereby we lunched at The Riverdale Garden and then visited the grounds of Wavehill. Funny enough, we noticed that others from the Restaurant did the very same thing! It was a sumptuous day of asparagus soup, fois gras, leek risotto, ostrich.....and then flora, fauna and the majestic Hudson. Absolutely worth the trip!
