Yue Fei Mausoleum
A national hero is buried here
Anyone who wants to visit this temple may need a little history. Yue Fei was a general in Song Dynasty when it was invaded by Jin. Yue was a brilliant and brave general and was able to hold off Jin invasion until some powerful ministers in the Song court persuaded the emperor to give up. The emperor called Yue back, framed him up and executive him. Today at the mauseleum, four kneeling statues of those evil politicians are placed in front of Yue’s grave for everyone to spit on. OK, I don’t know if you can spit on them, but you get the idea.
