Important Hotel Information:

The Hilton Memphis has been through several owners and name changes over the years, but has always been an impressive landmark at the corner of Poplar and I-240. Near several suburban office parks and convenient to the airport and outlying areas, the 27-story cylindrical glass and steel structure is a good bet for business travelers. The modern wall-of-glass lobby rises up four stories, with pools and gardens outside, and greets guests with individual sit-down check-in desks. The 405 rooms have sweeping views from the glass walls and are outfitted with sumptuous fabrics, modern art and padded headboards. Some have a funky retro feel that George Jetson would appreciate, with bright geometric patterns on the armchairs. This theme extends to the bar and some public areas, while the extensive meeting spaces are more staid. This is a favorite of executives, celebrities and politicians who do not need to be right in the thick of the downtown action.
