Summary of R.P. Tracks
This bar and grill snagged its name from the railroad tracks that run adjacent to it. Because it can’t quite decide what it wants to be, RP Tracks is everything to everyone: During the day, it’s home to lunching businesspeople, luring them with traditional pub grub and more sensitive offerings, such as the BBQ tofu sandwich and vegan nachos. In the late afternoons, because it’s located in the vicinity of the University of Memphis, the restaurant grabs some laptop wielding students engaged in individual and group study. And at night, the place is crammed with young folks, many of whom must spill out into the train car-inspired indoor patio, lined with windows. Others play pool or piddle with the electronic trivia machine, but everyone takes advantage of RP’s signature, long-standing offer: Every time a train goes by, shots are $1 off. So listen hard.
