Spinefoot foxface, pink skunk clownfish, and lyretail anthias may sound like a few things you’d rather not come in contact with. But don’t fret — they’re just colorful Fijian fish that you’ll find happily swimming around at the Dallas World Aquarium. An enormous amount of water — 85,000 gallons to be exact — holds marine life from three oceans and countries including Palau, Australia, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, and Japan. And if you’re interested in those all-important top-of-the-food-chain hunters, head to the Predator exhibit for white-spotted bamboo shark, queen triggerfish, and green moray eel sightings. Then catch a glimpse of the fascinating world under the sea by walking through the 22,000-gallon tunnel with a panoramic view. The rainforest, South Africa, and Mundo Maya exhibits are also worth a visit for a peek at toucans, penguins, snakes, and more sharks. With names like foxface rabbitfish, how can you pass these marine creatures by? They’re living the life aquatic, so go check them out.
