Summary of Museum of Biblical Art
A non-denominational museum designed to bring a visual understanding of the places, events and people of the Bible. It is operated by the Miracle of Pentecost Foundation, founded by Dallas philanthropist Mattie Caruth Byrd. Three galleries are home to a number of artworks depicting stories and moments found in the Bible. The Founders Gallery contains Ms. Byrds personal collection of spiritual works. The East Gallery and the Atrium Collonade Gallery are arranged for temporary exhibits. Temporary exhibits change approximately every eight to 12 weeks. The most infamous work within the museum is a wall mural known as the “Miracle at Pentecost”.
