Location. The Coastal Dreams B&B is located in Galveston, Texas, nine blocks from the beaches of the Gulf of Mexico. The Strand National Historic Landmark District, which serves as the center of Mardi Gras celebrations and offers antique stores, boutique shopping and art galleries, is two miles from the bed and breakfast. The Grand 1894 Opera House, Texas Seaport Museum and Moody Gardens Convention Center are within five miles.
Features. Built in 1887, this historic home survived the devastation of the 1900 Galveston Hurricane. The bed and breakfast still retains many original features, including the original front entry door, hardwood floors, 12-foot ceilings, and lead and stained-glass windows. Full, complimentary breakfasts are served each morning on fine china. The house is equipped with central air conditioning, and features an outdoor pool. Pets are not allowed at this property.

Guestrooms. Guestrooms at the Coastal Dreams B&B are located on the second floor, and are named after coastal areas. All accommodations are equipped with cable television, VCR/DVD players, CD players and complimentary wireless Internet access. Private bathrooms are stocked with handmade soaps and lotions. The Pacific Room features a sleigh bed and a private balcony overlooking the backyard. The Gulf Room includes a four-poster bed topped with a velvet comforter and down pillows. The Atlantic Suite boasts a kitchenette and a jetted tub.
