The Dr Pepper Museum focuses on the soft drink, soda fountain, and bottling plant from which the well-known drink evolved in 1885.

Waco has a number of other museums, including The Texas Ranger Hall of Fame, built at the original Texas Ranger fort established in 1837. Its Texas Sports Hall of Fame preserves sports memorabilia of nationally known Texas athletes, among them golfers Byron Nelson, Lee Trevino, Don January, and Babe Didrikson Zaharias; boxer George Foreman; and baseball pitcher Nolan Ryan.
