gusto! travel tools
First time jitters.
Well, this is the first time I am writing a blog. I do have to admit that I am a little nervous. Not that many people will ever read this nor will I see their reaction, but it will be out there for the world to look at and wonder…who the heck is this guy?
I wish more people in the US liked to travel, or just took the time to travel. There are so many people that haven't left their city or state…ever! Why? What is so wrong with traveling around and seeing how other people live? I know from my experience it has made me a better person. Seeing that no matter where you go in the world people all have the same needs and the same challenges.
Whether you are in Georgia, New York, Colorado, Nebraska, Arizona, Egypt, Australia or Japan we all need food clothing and shelter. We all get up in the moring and go to work to support ourselves and our family. We all dream of our children living in a better world. Well, that last one won't come true until we all travel more and see the world through other people's eyes.
My challange to you is to travel as much as you can. Learn as much as you can from other people and other cultures. That is what made the US such a great country…we were a melting pot. We took the best of all these other countries and made it better. Now we are shutting out the rest of the world and losing what made us great. Don't be a part of it, fight the pressure and embrace diversity.
I love the USA and I also love the rest of the world. Have a great day and enjoy your travels…wherever they take you.

How 'bout I leave a comment on your first ever blog post?
Anyway, I know what you mean about us all being the same, fundamentally. I taught English for 12 years to people from all over the world – mostly 20-somethings. They were all astounded to find that Japanese, Brazilian, or Turkish, they all wanted the same things…just with different intensitiers, perhaps.
Keep blogging!
