Ideas for a Bath visit
"I love Bath and here are my suggestions. For fun try the Bell pub on Walcot street, great character and a dying breed. If you like clubbing try Moles (central) good old fashion fun without yob hassle. If you like walking try a flat scenic hike on the toe path to the George Inn (3 miles ish) (towards Bristol). For Food day time Adventure Cafe, and Retro Cafe although the latter ain't as good as it was. For evening dining... I strongly recomemnd you book in advance because restaurants get booked up quick on weekends. The beaujolais - Queens Sq, Tilleys, Garricks Head (by the Theatre) are my favs but many others are excellent. On a sunday go play in Victoria Park and watch the Hot air balloons take off, or pre arrange a flight... later eat at the Wallrus and Carpenter, a wee place with oodles of Character. Don't bother with the Bath Building Museum it's awful and staff are snobby. Most tourists will try and take in the Royal Crescent and Circus and Jane Austin Museum. The new Thermal Spa is probablt worth a visit too if you fancy a pamper!
