Verbal and Physical abuse from management

"A group attended the Adelphi for a short weekend beak in Liverpool. After a good evening we decided to have drink in the bar. As time was getting on a few people decided to make there way to there room to finish off there drinks and get some rest. Unfortunately one member of the group drop his drink on the way. We made reception aware of this an apologiesed. Making our way to the room we were confronted by a man who started to use foul and abusinve language due to the dropped drink. I believed this to be a guest who had had too much to drink so continued to the room. The man followed and to my complete amazement found out that it was a night manager named Leon! 2 bouncers and then a night porter appeared and asked if we could go to the recption lobby to discuss the matter. This was done with the agreement that we dealt only with the porter who was being rational. Once in reception the night manager launched himself at one of us striking them in the face we were then bunddled out of the hotel. The poice were called (by ourselves) and after discussion we grudgingly agreed to stay the night in the hotel. We were unable to press charges as there are no cameras inside the complex and no evidence. Several of the staff spoke to us and said that Leon had been “out of order” and apologiesed saying that they were personally embarrassed by his reaction. As he is there boss though they were unwilling to talk to the police. Talking to the police on that evening and on Monday we were told that the hotel has a phenomonal crime rate and many incedents such as this one had occured in the past. On the monday morning they said that more than just are call concerning the hotel had been logged. The police informed us that this is a very troublesome hotel and that something really needs to be done but they need to gather eveidence. I was asked to write a letter to the police concerning the incident for eveidence that I have more than happily done. This review may seem far fetched but please believe what is written as I would hate for anyone to be in a similar situation. Normal I’m not the type of person to write a review or make a complaint but I was so taken back with what materialised I thought it was my duty to let others know. I hope this review saves people from a similar encounter at the Adelphi hotel in Liverpool."
