Marco Pierre White has resuscitated this Mayfair institution, returning it to its rightful place among Londons most glamorous eateries. Space is short and the tables are tightly packed together, but you should be happy to hob-nob with the illustrious diners. The terrace, with its gleaming parasols, is the perfect place to sit in summer – if you can find a spare spot, that is. The service is impeccable and the food is expectedly outstanding, ranking among the best French cuisine in London. A two-course set lunch is available from £16.50.
