Canyonlands is worth a visit

Reviewed by huskerlarry on December 08, 2007

huskerlarry's rating:

"Nearby Arches National Park seems to get more attention, but I must say I was more impressed with Canyonlands. Spectacular views and plenty of hiking trails. Unfortunately, on the day I visited, the weather wasn't great and I was running short on time, but I've made a mental note to return some day. If you're looking for lodging, Moab (30 to 50 miles away, depending on which park entrance you use) is the closest thing around."

mini Grand Canyon

Reviewed by jn1234 on January 28, 2007

jn1234's rating:

"The scenery is pretty amazing and probably would have been more so had I not just visited the Grand Canyon a few days earlier. In fact, the famous scene from Thelma and Louise when they drive their car off the cliff was filmed in this area. The park actually has three distinct sections, but we only visited the Canyonlands part. Lots of great scenic overlooks and plenty of trails to stretch your legs."
