"This is a really odd looking feature in the middle of Canyonlands National Park. It sort of looks like a mountain inside of a crater. There are these gray peaks rising out of a surrounding landscape that’s sort of reddish-brown. And it’s huge. From the interpretive information available at the park, it seems that there’s even some disagreement among scientists about the cause of this geologic feature. Well worth the short hike to get a closer look."
