"The Hogle Zoo is a fun little zoo. It’s no San Diego Zoo by any stretch, but it’s still good. Since it’s smaller than San Diego it’s actually a little more manageable. My family came here last summer with all of the little kids. They had a great time. They loved looking at all of the animals and strolling around from exhibit to exhibit. They especially liked the little train ride that takes you around parts of the zoo. The play area for kids was a big hit, too. They could have stayed there all day (but it was a little warm that day for the parents). The butterfly exhibit was really cool. My then 5 year old liked this exhibit the best, and my husband got some great pictures. This zoo is definitely do-able in a day, and the hiking around won’t kill you. And if you like kettle corn, give the stuff at Hogle Zoo a try. It’s pretty good."
