Whether you’re a novice or an expert on the slopes, Killington has plenty to offer. Snowboards are welcome, as are the jet-setting twentysomethings who form a large part of Killington’s clientele. What’s the draw? It’s a toss-up between the abundance of bars and entertainment at the base lodges, and the ritzy shops nearby. The five color-coded base lodges each cater to a different clientele (beginners, children, etc.). The K-1 lodge is where you’ll go for an aprés-ski hot chocolate, as well as where you’ll find the advanced skiers. Snowboarders and mogul mavens will want to check out Bear Mountain, and warm up by dancing to the live music offered on the weekends.
Man-made snow keeps trails and runs powdery soft, and skiers of all experience levels have plenty to choose from. Choose soft, wide open trails or gear up for the challenge of the steeps and trees. Non-skiers have plenty to do, too, including snowmobiling, rock climbing, and dog sledding. The Skye Bar at Skyeship Base offers people watching as a spectator sport. Throughout the year, Killington is host to special events that offer more to experience. Whether it’s the Collegiate Snowfest in January or the Annual Killington Triathlon in May, you’ll always be able to find other things to do in Killington.
