"Seeing the Water Puppet Theatre show is still my favourite memory of visiting Vietnam. The puppeteers stand waist-deep in a pool of water, behind a curtain, and manipulate puppets at the end of long rods. They enact the traditions and folklore of Vietnam, on the lakes, rivers and rice paddies. Live music enhances the touching, beautiful, and often funny, scenes on the water."
