"I've been to Rays a number of times and each time is as good as the last. the steaks are exceptional and the family style sides are really good. each meal is served with mashed potatoes and creamed spinach (brought in bowls for the whole table)./ I don't usually like creamed spinach but, this is like none other that I've had. they season it with nutmeg (and probably other things) making it excellent and different. You can't go wrong with any of the steaks or the "toppings" (which consist of a cream sauce or a mushroom sauce spread lightly on top of the steak)An excellent meal! They don't like to cook the steaks past medium and will warn that there is no garauntee of taste/quality if you order it that way. Sometimes they also will give out little cups of hot chocolate at the end of the meal – delicious. They recently changed their policy to not take reservations so be prepared to wait a long time if you don't get there around 5 or 5:30 (on a weekend).  I found this very disappointing as I was really in the mood for a steak one night and was told I'd have to wait about 2 hours to get in with a party of 4 (and that was only at 6:30pm).  I'll still go back, just maybe on a weeknight. Rays the Classics in Bethesda/Silver Spring takes reservations and has the same food.  maybe that's where I'm going next to guarantee a seat. "
