"I took my grandchildren to GW Tues. Election Day. They were so-o excited! It was cool outside jacket weather and inside they were in swim trunks and bathing suits. It was a beautiful fall day outside but we were in the wave pool at GW. I enjoyed the hot tubs there is one for families and one for adults only. The staff is well trained and constantly watching thechildren in the water. Around three in the afternoon they were ready for the arcade games. The very little ones enjoyed magiquest. We ate dinner in our room. The room was very comfortable 2 queen bed and a full size pull out sofa. I am planning a return trip to Great Wolf when my nieces come to town. We only stayed one night but maybe one day we will be able to stay two because there is other things to do in Williamsburg. I would love for my grandchildren to see Jamestown, Colonial Williamsburg with me. They have gone with their schools but it would be more fun with Grandma!"

"My wife and 2 kids plus 2 of their friends (7,8,11 and 12) spent two nights at the Great Wolf Lodge over Winter Break. Some great things: - Water park is awesome – wave pool was a highlight – great mix of stuff for kids of all ages. - Water park was super clean with tons of towels always available. - Waterpark had safety rules – but few others. You could wear glasses on rides, you could wear water shoes on the rides etc. - Food was reasonably priced for kids at the buffet and overpriced for the adults – but the food was pretty good. - Special rooms with the bunk beds were a treat and the fold out couches turned into fine beds for kids. - Nice size fridge in the rooms – bring your own drinks and snacks - The conveyor belt that brought the family rafts up to the ride broke once and the staff MOVED to fix it – repair folks with tool kits were on the scene in moments. Though, on the flip side the folks running the ride did not communicate what was happening to folks in line. However, they need to improve the service to make this a 5 star location – and at the price, you really do expect good service: - The snack bar at the waterpark was staffed by one (1) person even at lunch time! Other people have written reviews on this so it was not an isolated event. - We wanted two extra pillows and even after 4 calls over 2 days – never got any. At the price – not something we could do all that often – but the kids loved it. As you can expect, none of the service issues caused them any worry. Heck, if I wrote this review before I entered the amount into Quicken – I would have been less critical myself."
