"Although I enjoyed my stay at Powhatan Plantation much more than I had anticipated due to some bad reviews I'd found, I wouldn't go as far as to say it was fantastic or worth the price of the room for a night. I really enjoyed staying on an actual plantation and being able to tour the manor house (note to plantation fans, this home burned and as I understand it only the brick is still original). I do not recommend their high-end restaurant though. The food was ok but way overpriced. Stay far far away from the clover salad. Our room also came with a hot tub that was sadly cold and filled with filth. I think that if their prices were a bit more reasonable that I would recommend this place more freely. However I can't really say that this would be a great place to stay for your visit to Williamsburg..."
