Important Hotel Information:
The Vance Hotel is no more, having been replaced by the uber-hip and trendy Hotel Max. For art and photography aficionados, the Max will serve as more than just a place to hang your hat. Located in the shopping district, Hotel Max puts you within a couple blocks of the massive flagship Nordstrom, as well as Westlake Center. The Max is not like any other hotel in Seattle. Its design influences feel both modern Asian and European contemporary. Matte charcoal gray walls line the lobby, and are dramatically offset by fire-engine glossy red glass spheres. Guest rooms feature gray walls complemented by red-orange bedding. And, everywhere you look – in every public space and private room – hang pieces of original art and photography from the finest artists in Washington state. The accommodations are minimalist, with a strong dose of artistic flair. Rooms are very small, but fans say that’s fine, because they are filled with only those things you need: beautiful art and a comfortable bed. Stretch your feet down at Red Fin, the Max’s Asian fusion bistro.
