Elegant dining, The Crab Pot is not. Everyone comes for the Seafests: You choose a combination of shellfish and fish spiced and steamed with potatoes, corn on the cob and andouille sausage, and then the whole kit and caboodle is dumped onto the center of your red checker-clothed table.  Your only weapons of attack are a bib and a mallet. Like a Southern low country boil, this mountain is not for light eaters. Wash it down with a beer, yummy hard cider or hard lemonade.  Though it’s purely a tourist spot, on the Seattle Waterfront’s Pier 57, it’s nonetheless too much fun to pass up. Stop in before or after your visit to the Seattle Aquarium or to the Odyssey Maritime Discovery Center, which is devoted to the history of fishing and shipping on Puget Sound. Snag a patio table if the weather allows. Party poopers can order fish and chips or even a burger, but all must surrender to the strawberry-rhubarb cake served hot in its own baking pan with vanilla ice cream. If you need to walk it off, The Crab Pot is in the Bay Pavilion building, home of the goofy and lovable Pirate’s Plunder gift shop. And the piers are your departure point for the cruise through Chittenden Locks to Lake Union or the ferry to Bainbridge Island.
